Swinging…
by nwphotography
I took this photo on a superbly random night in Galway. I was on tour through Ireland with some fabulous friends and a few of us were traipsing around the city after dinner looking for something to do. It was a Tuesday night so the prospects (we thought) were limited. Then, by chance we stumble across a bar that not only has a live band but swing dancing as well! Very cool night, a little too much cider for some (this girl doesnt drink and tell) and I must say some really cool memories were banked.
Dont you love it when you come across a little gem or treasure in life?? You just know that you’ve struck gold…
Almost the weekend, lets count our blessings and see the beauty in adversity.

I’ve had a few people asking about my beauty in adversity comment. I suppose there are a few layers to the intention behind the words, however, my main discovery this far is that (mainly in hindsight) we can take an opportunity to acknowledge that while there was some difficulty along the way, lessons and blessings are evident having gone through these things, we are greater, stronger, maybe even wiser. I really like this quote:
“Adversity has the effect of eliciting talents which, under prosperous conditions, may have remained dormant….It is courage, courage, courage, that raises the blood of life to crimson splendor. Live bravely and present a brave front to adversity.” — Horace
